My Beautiful wife and I relaxing by the pool tonight after a hard day's work. Tomorrow I'll be putting some winter wheat in the ground.

Usually we keep mean green farming machines around, but we found a little red tucked in a shed for an amazing price. New local farmer brought this down with him from the Northwest and traded it for a new 9R. Dealership said he had been fighting harness and computer issues since he bought it and just wanted a new deere instead. Long story short, the dealership repaired the harness and computer in the tractor and then placed it on marketplace at 47% off market value. This tractor is a beast!

The good lord blessed us with some pretty good weather to get the beans in and the wheat put in the ground right behind harvest. Now it's time to get the corn and silage done and then we will work on fall and spring tillage.

I about got smacked, but definitely got the evil eye when I told the wife she needed to wash her truck and quit driving through all the mudholes she could find.

Traded off the 7810 for a great price along with the old seed tender and international truck earlier. found a farmer that was going out of business and snatched up the 8650 and a Kubota M8 for a great combo price. 10 years in dept with the seeder though. UGH the joys of farming.

Had to finish up getting these soil samples this morning while I'm waiting on the dew to dry up and the fog to lift. Should be ready to finish bean harvest after lunch. Down to the last two fields.

It's toooo early for this. Early September and already snowing. I miss the south already. Hopefully this isn't gonna be a long harvest season!
