O'Plaine Station is a house concert series located on Concord Square in the Providence Village neighborhood, Gurnee, IL.
{For Families, Friends and Folk}
email [email protected] to RSVP for events, or for any inquiries. The name of the concert series is taken from both the main road leading into our subdivision (O’Plaine Road) and the historic O’Plaine House (aka Mother Rudd House) and the
associated barn behind, located a couple miles from our house concert venue. It was located 100 yards from the Des Plaines river and behind the popular boarding house which had visitors coming and going at all hours. Since most underground railroad stops were called “stations”, our think tank came up with O’Plaine Station. For touring musicians, we are a welcoming stop along your long journey from one place to the next. We take in all and provide a safe space to share ideas, thoughts, stories and songs in an intimate environment with eager ears and open minds. We will put you up for the night (or two) and treat you as we would treat our own folk.
