The countdown is on for the 126th annual Gunnison Cattlemen's Days ⌛
We'll be highlighting each event you'll see here. Today, we're starting with our newest addition... Women's Bronc Riding!
Quick Facts:
💥dates back to trail blazing cowgirls of the 1800's
💥uses a ranch bronc set up, different than the equipment in saddle bronc
💥"ride as ride can" meaning the cowgirl can ride with one or two hands
💥was at one time pushed out of many arenas, but has regained popularity and is a rapidly growing sport

Did you know that specialty act performers are official members of the PRCA?
Contestants aren't the only ones who hold cards in the PRCA. Specialty act performers, as fun and silly as they may be, have to have a high standard of professionalism, skill, and knowledge of rodeo production. They are contract personnel members. Contract personnel PRCA card holders include specialty acts, announcers, secretaries, timers, judges, photographers, stock contractors, clowns, bull fighters, etc. Any non-contestant who works in the arena. Becoming a card holder requires experience, testing, and references from other PRCA members. It takes a lot of professionals to make a great, professional production!
