The Colorado trail is a national treasure! I got to ride 120 miles, of chunky, fast and loamy, sandy and scree single track. It’s informative product testing with some vision questing required. At the end of the day I’m proud of the product we make and how well it suits this rugged terrain. I wouldn’t change a thing about my setup. I think I’ll do a packing video soon?! Still reflecting and recovering. Also congratulations to all the CTR racers out there! It’s a great effort with great rewards.

The ‘Cooter’ is a long travel (150mm) Hard Tail built for the Colorado Trail. With box turtle shell designs dappled across the frame, this definitely was one of the most complex powder jobs we’ve ever done but it was worth it! Built for comfort and stability, the geometry of this bike allows for big back to back big days in the saddle. Also with the large front triangle, maximizing Sophia’s inseam, she is able to carry everything she needs in 4 bags. Arly was inspired by Charley Harper for the bag designs.

Our second overnighter of the season is next weekend! We’re going to do a 60 mile loop starting and ending at Goodday in Gunnison. We’re going to ride out Mccabes,’ to South Beaver Creek to the causeway, take a dip in the river then bike to camp by the willow creek spring. (We checked, it is running). Rigid Gravel bikes are perfect for this ride, so bring what you got. BYO Water filter and 2L capacity. See you Saturday!
