I’ve been sitting on an idea and I kinda need your honest opinion before I start planning it.

I know there are other florists/boutiques in the area and I want to give you options, so we aren’t all offering the same thing. So… What if we did a local garden market day at Wildflower?

Picture this: local flower farmers/gardeners showing up with whatever is blooming that week, buckets full of fresh, locally grown flowers, and you just browsing through and picking your favorites by the stem.

No pressure, no fuss—just a fun, seasonal way to buy flowers and a chance to support the growers right here in our community.

There are random cords on the porch, a tree in the corner that didn’t make it through the winter, wild sunflowers that just grow wherever they want (and I let them), but it still makes me happy so I’ll keep it the way it is for now.

Maybe someday I’ll be a neat and tidy gardener, but today is not that day… 🤣

Man, did we need that break.

Our lives have kind of been in an upheaval since my mom’s accident at the end of March.

We canceled our 25th anniversary trip to Belize, I spent 2 weeks in Wyoming after the accident, was home for a week, then drove back to bring my mom home. We spent a few days in Salt Lake with Tennessee in the hospital, and then he came home 2 weeks later.

In the meantime, my mom and I decided to buy a flower shop. I’ve been redesigning for the last month, then the state Tax ID for delayed.

Then my daughter had a baby, (our first grandbaby!), and a day later my husband’s grandpa passed away. His viewing was on Father’s Day, and my husband spoke at his funeral the next day (which was also my husband’s birthday)

And during all of that time, my husband has worked almost every day at the farm, with just an afternoon off here and there…

So he was due for a break 😬🤪

We escaped for a couple days where we ate lots of great food, strolled Park City, hiked Guardsman Pass, and judged people’s parallel parking from our balcony 😂

It was perfect

Holy cow!! Our youngest has officially graduated and we are now empty nesters!! Wow what a ride… I don’t feel old enough to be in this stage of life yet, it kind of just snuck up on me 😂

I’m so proud of this kid though. He kept us on our toes for sure, but he’s headed for great things!

Now we are all on to the next set of adventures!

This is all happening so fast…

But I am officially the new owner of !!

I can’t wait to tell you all the crazy details, but for now here are the basic deets:

We will be closed May 25-30 and reopen June 1, with a grand re-opening to be held at the end of June-ish (depending on when my first grandbaby comes!)

I will be doing weddings, events and everyday florals - plus we are keeping the boutique. The location and name will stay the same!

Stay tuned for this wild ride to come!!

I am changing the drip system in my boxes this year. Hopefully it will be a little more organized, but that means I need to order parts, so it will be later this week before I can use it.

I’ll be hand watering until then, so pro tip- get your water system in first and then you can plant. It didn’t work out that way this year so we are just rolling with it.

If I can keep the seedlings alive through the early stage, I should have an awesome mix of flowers for the wedding in August!
