A long time ago, in Eugene Oregon, I visited an herbalist friend's house and he had a fire pit in the middle of his backyard and surrounding it about 20 feet out, was a full circle of mugwort it's beautiful to sleep in a circle of mugwort.

I believe we have a native variety here that stays close to the ground. In oregon it grew three feet tall.
