If you are in Gulf Shores this weekend swing by the LODGE and be amazed by all the artistic talent ! Organized by my neighbor Kristin Pierre Art who works diligently to involve community in the arts for our area.
She also is a fantastic artist and teacher!

Our inaugural event, Venture Out Plein Air, is just getting started and I could not be more excited for this. After months of hard work, I have coordinated 15 invited Artists to come paint on location at the Gulf State Park as part of the Venture Out event which highlights our award winning park system and trails.
The artists will be painting throughout the Gulf State park all this week. Then the final showcase of their work will be on display this Sunday, May 17 from 1 to 5 PM at the Gulf State Park Lodge ballroom. This event is free and open to the public. And I guarantee you will not be disappointed as this art show is bound to captivate you with the beauty of our park through an artistic lens.
Come out to the park this week to see the painters in action. Then join us at the final showcase. See you there!

So grateful to be able to call my son’s name and present the BRYAN HILL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD to a Foley High School student this morning. Chris is still deciding what vocation to pursue but he is a deserving young man! My son’s memory is honored.

A version of the Black Winged Skimmer. It is a real treat if you ever spot these guys flying low at the edge of the waves catching dinner!
This is my first attempt of using colored pencils on hot pressed paper. It felt like more work to get to an acceptable point, but I will try again.
