For Pete's Family....
A little history about me and Pete...I met Pete in 2012. He was selling his artwork at a gallery next door to our office on Main st in Guerneville. When the guy that was selling his artwork started painted on windows too, it irritated me so much, I reached out to Pete and let him know I would show his work at my office on Main st, for no charge. We just wanted to see him succeed. It is hard following your heart and doing your passion and Karyn and I wanted to support him that way.
When we decided to open Pop Culture Art Gallery in 2018, Pete was the first person we asked to join us. His artwork IS Guerneville. We never looked back. The years that followed were us dropping windows off to Pete in San Francisco...standing in front of his home, having a good laugh and catch up...and then picking up his finished pieces to bring back to Guerneville.
Karyn and I are going to miss everything about this process...
We are going to miss Pete. He was larger than Life.

It is with a very heavy heart that I am letting our Russian River Community know that Pete Doolittle has passed away. We are holding his family, Claudia and Sho close... The Russian River was Pete's second home and he will be terribly missed! He will live on through his indelible, heartfelt artwork. We will miss you pete.
