Just did the Stumptown Parade in Guernevlle Yesterday 6-15-13 with the Marine debree Peeps, Kerry and Sally. They did the most amazing Cat out of Beach Garbage ,with a Mermouse that Annie Springer gifted me (Vira aka;The California Mermaid) Mermouse hung from the debree Cat's mouth. It was a around about way to get into the theme of Stumptown Parade , Which was "In the mood " ...So we were in the mood for a Cat and Mouse chase on the river chasing garbage...... So our message to the parade goers was !st Sat. every month at Bodega Dunes at 10am is debree/garbage pick up . So go pick up garbage and make your own debree/garbage float for upcoming 1st annual NorCal Mermaid Parade in Guerneville Aug 17th, 2013 . Theme will be Putting the fin in fun,and a face on fish. (Thank You to Miss Scarlett Mermaid) We will be focusing on water safety and water cleanliness! Community Clean Water Institute will be the Non-Profit beneficiary . Hopefully the HUGE raffle including a kayak ,Fishing trip on the New Sea Angler, Night stays at local hotels ,a 1st time ever Mermaid experience out on the river will be one of the unusual prizes, and much more. I will be posting the next 2 fundraiser's in planning stage now . to be held at R3 Hotel in Guerneville and 1 at The Rio Nido Roadhouse . So stay tuned in. At the next two fundraiser's we will be putting our heads together about Parade float ideas .
