And that’s a good thing because it means one day I won’t be a beginner at watercolors anymore lol. Forcing myself to post failures and successes of this journey. At least I had fun making it.

Failed at this watercolor whale tutorial. Oh well, you have to be bad at something before you can be good at it. It’s crazy to me just how different watercolors are from other paint mediums. I’ll get the hang of it eventually. I also could have taken more time drawing the whale to be more proportioned but I really don’t care about very much these days and I’m ok with it. There are no rules here. Oh and thanks to a 🧵 from Hank green that inspired the quote. He said “f**k it, whales are fish” and I feel that sentiment fits this painting and our current political state just right though I do much prefer the sound of “f**k this, whales are fish”. Enjoy, or don’t, idgaf anymore.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything and I appologize for that. I am not a fan of making reels, I feel like I suck at it but considering everything that’s been going on I’m going to do my best to bring more art to you because we need art right now and I’m personally finding solace in feminist poetry and music. So here is a watercolor with a quote and a song. I hope you enjoy it. I hope you stick around. I’m excited to come back and share two of my new journeys with you, and exploration into watercolor and some soothing mandala wip videos that I’ve never posted before so you’ll get a mix of both here and probably some rants about my feelings and please feel free to join in if you have any watercolor tips. I’d love to get back to making a safe space here for everyone that voted blue. And if you see something you want dm me. Sunset sheets, 16x20 , oil brush in Procreate.

Inktober was stressing me out so, playing around with fabric folds it is. I’ve always thought that fabric which changes colors in the light is fun but I don’t feel I’ve white captures that idea here. Oh well, onto the next one.

Inktober Day 17: Demon
Do you ever get to a point when you’re making something where you feel like the piece you’re working on is complete but then for some weird reason your brain tells you to add more or do one more thing?
Sometimes it turns out good and sometimes it just feels over done, but then it’s hard to decide; and if you’re working in traditional mediums sometimes it’s just ruined.
