A Heart-to-Heart: Why AceTwilite Artistry Matters
I’m pouring everything into AceTwilite Artistry because I believe in this vision. For years, I’ve worked to bring these visions to life, even while navigating serious health issues and stress that changed my life drastically.
Now that I’m unable to work a traditional job, this business isn't just a creative outlet—it’s my path forward. But as a self-taught artist in Detroit, my biggest hurdle isn’t the art; it’s visibility.
To my friends and family, I’m going to be real with you: It’s deeply hurtful to be overlooked by those closest to me. When you buy "art" or decor from big-box corporations, it’s a missed opportunity to support a household you actually know. Corporations don’t need the support, and they don't pour their soul into the work like I do. My versatility is unmatched—I create one-of-a-kind, custom pieces that no store can replicate.
I’ve been low-balled and overlooked, but the time, supplies, and heart I put into my work are valuable. I’m asking to be treated and supported with the same respect you’d give any other professional business.
How you can actually help: My social media presence is small. If you aren't in a place to buy, a simple share is my marketing budget. You have people on your friends list I haven't met yet who might find exactly what they’re looking for in my work.
