If you need to charge your phone or get WiFi access, The Town of Griffith has worked with United Way Northwest Indiana to bring this service to Griffith. They will be located outside Griffith Town Hall on Broad St on Thursday, August 13 from 2-7pm. Please let your neighbors know who may not have access to these pages and could use this service.

This is an important update from the Town of Griffith as our community continues recovering from the recent severe weather.

If you need a place to stay connected, United Way Northwest Indiana will have its mobile response van at Griffith Town Hall tomorrow, Thursday, August 13, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Residents can stop by to access Wi-Fi and charge essential devices. We greatly appreciate United Way Northwest Indiana for providing this assistance to our community.

Griffith Central Park sustained significant damage from downed trees and power lines and will remain closed to the public until it can be safely restored. As a result, the Griffith Central Market scheduled for this Friday has been cancelled.

Regular trash pickup will take place tomorrow on its normal schedule. Please have your household trash out as usual.

Our recovery efforts continue to make progress. Town crews, emergency services, utility workers, and our community partners are working hard to clear debris, restore services, and get Griffith back to normal as quickly and safely as possible.

We sincerely thank our residents for their patience, cooperation, and support. The way our community has come together following this storm is greatly appreciated, and we will continue working until the job is done.
