It’s been a while so here’s a little update on Midnight! Our outcast baby chick 🖤

His wing feathers are growing in beautifully and he’s getting bigger every day. We still hangout on a regular basis and it’s clear he knows I’m momma. When we go out to find bugs and watch other chicken behaviors, he stays right by my side.

As his wings grow, he’s playing and putting them to the test! Sometimes jumping off the couch, onto my shoulder while flapping away. Amazing how much he’s changed over the last couple of weeks 🙂 those big wings were nothing but nubs a few days ago

His apartment was upgraded and he’s doing very well. I believe he has some birth defect to his right eardrum that I assume is why he was abandoned. Initially I thought it was an injury from mom’s attacks but it has not changed throughout his growth.

Regardless, we love him all the same and he’s been a fun little member to our indoor family. All life matters, even the little guy who looks like he doesn’t stand a chance 🐣

Working on another beautiful baby this week. Articulation then going back home to her family. I’m honored to care for her in this way so she can be with the people who love her forever 🤍

I feel like I’m dying. We were donated SIX wild boar heads today, each weighing about 50lbs. Try hauling those guys around in this heat half the day 😮‍💨 needless to say, more boar skulls coming soon and they are HUGE! 🐗
