We’re still bringing music to the Upstate! 😊

NEW this year ... we welcome the Tan and Sober Gentlemen to the main stage on Saturday evening. A regular at Celtic festivals, learn more about them:

Born and raised in North Carolina, the Tan and Sober Gentlemen began taking the songs, stories, and tunes that make up their beloved state’s musical tradition before they could talk. The music of the Carolinas, (and Appalachia in general) stems from the marriage of the Irish fiddle and the African banjo, which first met in the American South before the Revolution. The Tan and Sober Gentlemen aim to bring these traditions full circle. They play Irish tunes, ballads, and pub songs right next to the Appalachian fiddle tunes of their youth, melding the two into what they call “Irish-American hillbilly music.”
Meanwhile, they have earned a reputation as one of the South’s hardest-hitting live acts, playing at blazing tempos, and putting every last bit of energy they possess into the show. The result is a raucous celebration of the Carolinas’ Irish heritage, with drinking, dancing, and merriment galore.

It is with a broken and heavy heart that I share the news that Malcolm Holcombe passed away today from repiratory failure. He has been in a great deal of pain for a long time, and his spirit is now free from all that and he is singing with the angels. Malcolm loved all of you so very much and was so grateful to have such loving and devoted family, friends and fans. Please keep me in your thoughts as I try to navigate life without my true love of the last 22 years. And thank you again for sticking with us through thick and thin. Love & blessings to all of you.

PLEASE READ - Help us seek justice for our former guitarist, Daniel Parker.

Daniel’s family and friends are asking the public for help and information. We’re calling on all Seven Year Witch fans to spread this.

On February 10th, 2024 at 9:05 PM Daniel left a parking garage in Atlanta, GA. At 10 PM, multiple 911 calls came in at the same time about the van being found wrecked on the side of the 85 and 75 intersection.

Daniel's cause of death was not associated with a wreck. It is believed he was not in the vehicle when it wrecked. There is a homicide investigation surrounding the circumstances of his death.

Please come forward if you have any information

For further context, here is a condensed timeline and information we have been sent:

“7 PM - Daniel Parker met his friend "A" at Industry Tavern in Atlanta.

8:30 PM - They split up to go to their cars.
Daniel was parked in the Terminus parking garage.

Daniel left the parking garage at 9:05 pm to meet up with a second friend, friend B.

Friend B called Daniel a few times after he never showed up. That was the last Daniel was heard from.

At around 10 PM, Daniel's car was found wrecked at the bottom of a slope after being driven over the edge of the hill. The van was severely damaged with glass shattered everywhere. It was also raining and muddy.

Daniel's body was found up the hill 75 yards away, along some trees 5 feet from the highway.

There is a homicide investigation currently underway.

Daniel was headed to meet friend B and never made it, it was a 20-minute drive, that left almost 40 minutes unanswered.

Please if you have ANY INFORMATION come forward.

- did you know anyone who had made threats to Daniel, or made comments to others about wanting to hurt him?

- did you talk with Daniel that day or night and have not talked to the police yet?

Were you or anyone you know in Atlanta that night or near that bar?

Even the smallest piece of info CAN HELP”

UPDATE: the wedges were recently returned to us anonymously. Thank you all for helping to get the word out there! We love our community and we’re thankful for their support.

Please do the right thing and return these to us. Two wedges and their cables were taken. Also, if you happened to take pictures after the show that showed the stage, can you send them to us along with the time stamp of when they were taken? That would be really helpful! 🙏 (Let’s solve this mystery together.)

Hi, all!

Amy Bright, the social media manager for The Spinning Jenny and Upstate Renaissance Faire here.

I am popping in personally on the page along with the ladies of Bright Eyes Belly Dance to say thank you to Sharon and Sarah for allowing me the opportunity to teach dance classes at the Jenny for the past two years.

Sharon and Sarah have given me, and many other artists, the chance to develop our art, grow audiences, and make Greer a destination.

With the closing, I've seen the outpouring of appreciation and I want to add my thanks to the mix.

I hope to see you all at our grand finale Rocktoberfest/ Dark Side of the Moon Show this Friday when Randomonium will rock the stage!!!
