💥🍁🍃NEXT WEEK💥🍁🍃

This two day nature wild child extravaganza will be filled with exciting art activities and teach the campers to look at nature through different eyes. We will use loupes to enlarge a variety of leaves and other found matter, learn about natural pigments and create our own black walnut ink, as well as make field guides, mystery jars and treasure boxes.

This is a two day all day camp and campers are welcome to bring a lunch if they have a special diet, however, we will provide a lunch of cheese and pepperoni pizza daily. Wear good walking shoes, sunscreen and hats as we will walk to the Yazoo trail for our adventure each morning and after lunch art and exploration will commence at ArtPlace.

💥💥💥POP ART CAMP has been bursting with creativity this week! 💥💥💥

Our young artists got their hands messy and their imaginations soaring as they created colorful fabric bowls, made their own paper pulp in a blender, and screened fresh handmade paper using molds and deckles.

We also began building our larger-than-life ice cream cone armatures—some artists are already up to SEVEN scoops! Along the way, campers created vibrant pop art self-portraits inspired by this bold and colorful art style.
Today, the fun continues as we design custom frames for our pop art portraits, begin layering paper mâché onto our towering ice cream cones, and dive into the exciting world of comic book creation!

Yolande will lead the campers to DOWN UNDER, visiting AUSTRALIA mate! We will make boomerangs, learn about kangaroos boxing and koalas being cute, create super fab aboriginal dot art by painting in our own style, wait and see, this involves dish soap and spray paint too ;) and campers will also make some killer tie dye hats and shirts. The outback is for everyone, be brave and come on down under MATE!
