Join us Saturday, August 29 at 7:30 PM as we celebrate an incredible year at GCT, look ahead to what’s still to come in 2026, and reveal our ENTIRE 2027 SEASON!

The evening will also feature special performances, a few surprises, and a very meaningful tribute to someone who meant so much to our theatre family.

What drew you to audition? I wanted to try something different and challenging.

If your character had a theme song, what would it be and why? Bodies by Drowning Po

Write your favorite quote from the show and a sentence or two, why is it your favorite? “Geese, villain?”The reason is self-evident.

Explain Macbeth to someone who has never seen it before, using only 5 words. Indecisive man murders badly; dies.

Why should people come see the show? It’s free, man. Also, culture.

What character(s) do you play in the show? Lady Macbeth

Is this your first Shakespeare show? yes

What drew you to audition? I decided I wanted to get back to acting after a decade-long hiatus & decided to try theatre. I looked up auditions at GCT and Macbeth sounded like the perfect challenge and experience.

If your character had a theme song what would it be and why? Love Me Dead - Ludo

Write your favorite quote from the show and a sentence or two why it is your favorite? One of my favorite quotes from the play is MacDuff’s Monologue after finding out his family and all attached to him had been murdered. Malcolm told him to dispute it like a man, & Macduff responded “I shall do so, but I must also feel it as a man. I cannot but remember such things were that were most precious to me...” to me, it is a beautiful show of emotional intelligence to sit in a moment of grief, even in the midst of chaos, before taking his revenge.

Explain Macbeth to someone who has never seen it before only using 5 words. Manipulation. Power. Murder. Guilt. Death.

Why should people come see the show? It’s simply just going to be an incredible show. Amazing cast and crew. Noah is so intentional with a phenomenal vision and it translates beautifully on stage.

Is this your first Shakespeare show? no

What was your first show? My first show at GCT was actually A Midsummer Night's Dream in 2007. I was very lucky to bring Shakespeare back to GCT in 2021 as Hermia in the same show that started my GCT journey.

If your character had a theme song what would it be and why? . Willow by Taylor Swift because me and my girls are just trying to play with some glowing orbs and they're gunna accuse us of witchcraft.

Write your favorite quote from the show and a sentence or two why it is your favorite? "Vanished. Into the air." This is one of my favorite Shakespeare-isms. He didn't create "thin air" until The Tempest but I love being part of the linguistic journey that is Billy making up words and phrases.

Explain Macbeth to someone who has never seen it before only using 5 words.Something wicked this way comes.

Why should people come see the show? Murder. Cackling. Apparitions. Plot twist! Hot witches.

Is this your first Shakespeare show? no

What was your first show? A midsummer night's dream!

If your character had a theme song, what would it be and why? “The Curse” Agnes Obel. Each weird sister is a part that makes up a whole. They’re very mischievous but also haunting and a little scary and this song has the perfect vibe. Greymalkin is only mentioned once but is my character's familiar cat. This song I feel gives off very much black cat energy, as does my weird sister!

Write your favorite quote from the show and a sentence or two, why it is your favorite? “What, you egg!” stabs. It just sounds funny. I also love the bird metaphor of how the character being killed is just a young and innocent kid so it uses age to insult. You’ll also notice that Macduff and his family use bird metaphors to refer to each other, so it really rubs salt in the wound.

Why should people come see the show? What Macbeth does is hold a mirror up to Humanity. Shakespeare always teaches us lessons that are able to translate over centuries. Our cast does a great job of conveying the complexities of each character and sharing the centuries old warning of holding great power, and the responsibility that comes with it.
