One of the tricky parts of art classes is sometimes you have 10 or 15 minutes to fill at the end of a class while things dry. Or you have most of the kids done and others need more time. We have been using those opportunities this week to make these little abstract circular paintings with tempera sticks and they are SO FUN and only take about 15 minutes! Sometimes art just needs to be quick and playful!

These little artists imagined they were sitting inside a tent overlooking a beautiful mountain scene. We worked together to draw step-by-step and then they finished by painting creatively. We even had time to squeeze in a quick little abstract project while the paintings dried.
