How many orchestras can say that their incoming board president came in and sang a piece with them?

At last week's rehearsal, GCYO's incoming board president joined YAO to sing Mascagni with them. This was a fantastic opportunity for the musicians, as they were able to experience what it is like to accompany a professional singer.

YAO, Phil, Intermezzo, and Prelude will be performing this coming Wednesday, May 6 at the Peace Center, so grab your tickets for GCYO's end of year concert! You won't want to miss it!

YAO's conductor, Neil Casey, invited several students to conduct one of the pieces that they are performing this Wednesday at the Peace Center. This fun opportunity gave the students a taste of what it's like to conduct a full orchestra. The senior piece being performed this Wednesday will be student conducted as well, giving the seniors an opportunity to showcase their individual skills.

Only a few days left to purchase your tickets for the May 6 concert, so make sure to grab them before they're gone!

YAO is less than two weeks away from their last concert of the season on May 6 at the Peace Center. Pieces include works by Puccini, Mascagni, Bizet, and Offenbach, and a senior spotlight piece. The Philharmonic, Intermezzo, and Prelude will be performing as well.

Make sure to purchase your tickets in advance at the Peace Center website!
