Join us in welcoming Deborah Caliva to the City Art Gallery family! Throughout her studies. the UNC Greensboro alum studied under Setsua Kotani, Jim Pringle, and Hiroshi Sueyoshi. As an artist, she aims to make functional pottery from porcelain clay and decoration inspired by the natural world through carving, color, and crystals.

"My work emphasizes craftsmanship with a focus on form. I believe that the objects we use every day should be both beautiful and functional."
