The ECU Jazz Ensemble A is an internationally recognized student group in the ECU School of Music Jazz Studies Program. The ensemble is known for electrifying performances and collaborations with world-class jazz artists. Their sound has a blend of the classics and a bit of contemporary jazz that consistently earns standing ovations.

Are you ready for a swinging week of jazz performances? It's time for this year's Billy Taylor Jazz Festival from the ECU School of Music! 🎺 🎷 🥁

You can enjoy different, exciting performances all week long on campus, and most are free. Most of the performances are in the evening, but don't miss ECU Jazz Ensemble-(A) on the Main Campus Student Center lawn from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, April 7.

Cyrille Aimée’s music reflects her deep love of storytelling and musical freedom. Coming from a multilingual household, she draws inspiration from her heritage. Her music is reflected by the way she creates a vibrant and sophisticated blend of jazz, pop, and dance that can relate to all audiences.

Raised in a vibrant musical home in Samois-sur-Seine, Aimée was inspired by the Django Reinhardt Festival and her Dominican roots 🇩🇴. After moving to NYC, she quickly rose to fame—collaborating with legends like Roy Hargrove, Stephen Sondheim, and Wynton Marsalis.

Her latest album À Fleur de Peau blends jazz sophistication with pop energy and irresistible Caribbean rhythms. 🌴🎷
