Summary: The art of life and nature is a everyday experiance in God's creative world of beauty and colors, is more than an ultimate appreciation and love of life in every aspect. As a conga drummer percussionest, jewelry maker and canvas oil paniter, performing arts have been part of my life for over 40 years. There are so many talented and creative people of all ethic group

s in the world, and their talents are a reflection of my art direction. Thank God for my calling and assingment as an accomplished artist. This Coloring Book contains thirty-six original drawings of Hunt County African-Americans and their schools, churches and businesses. Among nationally known blacks in the book are Dallas Cowboy football player Harvey Martin and Olympic Bronze Medalist John Carlos. Other famous people include Myrna Gilstrap, Dewey Fitzpatrick, Trig Ward, Ivory Moore, and Dr. David Talbot.

A brief history of African-Americans in Hunt County sets the histprical context for readers. Arriving in the area as early as the 1840s, blacks have played an important role in the history of this county.

This book was Illudstrated by myself and written by Jim Conrad and Andrew Page.
