Friends local to Greenville/Mercer County, PA: Love to sing but have not had a chance to participate in a choir lately? Here's your chance to join with a group of local singers for our annual presentation of "Messiah". We will rehearse at First Presbyterian Church in Greenville each Sunday from November 2 through December 7, each rehearsal is approximately 90 minutes long. Our performance is scheduled for Sunday, December 14 at 2:00 PM, also at First Presbyterian Church. Open to all singers, 7th grade to adult, no auditions required! Simply show up, ready to sing! We will use the Schirmer Edition vocal score pictured below. We have copies available for you to borrow for the season if needed. Hope to see you there!

Frank Stearns was an accomplished musician and a long-time educator for the Greenville Area School District. He also directed Greenville's annual performance of "Messiah" for many years. This year two scholarships are being awarded in his memory:

The Frank B. Stearns Memorial Scholarship - a $500 (minimum) award to a student pursuing a degree in a music related field or elementary education.

The Frank B. Stearns Junior Memorial Scholarship - a $100 (minimum) award to a student having completed grade 6 - 11 who plans to attend a summer camp or program in the field of music.

Today is the day! Join us for our annual performance of Messiah. Admission is free, however there will be a free-will offering to help defray expenses and support the Frank Stearns Memorial Scholarship. Sunday December 8 at 2PM at First Presbyterian Church, Greenville PA.
Come early at 1:30PM and enjoy pre-concert holiday music with the Greenville Brass Ensemble.
