Slam Madness The ORIGINAL BRACKET STYLE SLAM founded by Johnny C Weaver of Spartanburg, SC On Saturday, there are 2 separate bouts.

Slam Madness is a head-to-head, bracket-style slam poetry tournament that takes place over a weekend in March. On Friday night, poets participate in a bout draw to determine who their opponents will be during their Saturday bouts. The top 8 from each of those bouts determine the 16 poets who will participate in the Championship Round on Sunday. During the day on Saturday, poets participate in a wr

iting workshop with youth as well as a Community Cook-Out. It is a weekend of competition, giving back, and fun!
