Today, our instructor spotlight shines on Miss Denyal!🎉

Miss Denyal has been dancing for the last 41 years and has been with Inspire for the past 11 years.🩷🩵

You can find her teaching both recreational and competitive dancers + she’s also often found hanging out around the studio while she waits for her daughters, who also dance at IDS. Behind the scenes, she helps create the magic, by music editing for our studio!🎶

🌟Favorite style to teach/dance:
Modern and Jazz!

🌟Fun fact:
Miss Denyal performed throughout Europe and the US in a musical production called, “A Common Beat” in Up With People. She performed all styles of dance including Irish, Italian, Spanish, African, and Asian to name a few.

🌟When she’s not dancing...
Miss Denyal enjoys spending time with her husband and her two teenage daughters. She absolutely loves being a mom! She puts her creativity to work as a video editor and motion graphic artist, for a social media management company.

🌟Miss Denyal’s WHY:
“My goal is for my students to feel confident in their dancing and be respectful young dancers who will change the world!”

🌟Favorite IDS Memory:
One of my favorite memories was a weekend spent creating content in a Milwaukee hotel lobby with our amazing dance families. Our daughters lit up showing us their favorite choreography, helping get content for social media. The moms got to learn a lift! Moments like these are what it’s all about!

🌟Dream Vacation: Australia or Hawaii

🌟Favorite Post Class Treat: Hummus, Pretzels and String Cheese

Calling all 5-8 year olds!! 📣It’s not too late to join the fun! We have class openings in our Tuesday night Jazz Class AND in Tap One on Monday night! What are you waiting for!? 🎉

JAZZ:
This class explores the basics of Jazz for dancers who want to stretch, turn, and leap! Fun, energetic music is introduced in class, as dancers learn proper control and technique. Age-appropriate skills and terminology will be learned in this class throughout the year.

TAP:
Tap One is a fun rhythm class for beginners or dancers with limited experience. Class will incorporate shuffles, flaps, cramp rolls, and more!

Classes begin September 14 and run through April with our Annual Spring Recital to follow! 🎶✨

Today’s instructor spotlight is shining brightly on Miss Amy!🩷🩵

Miss Amy started dancing at the age of 6 and danced until she was 22. This season will be her 22nd year of teaching dance!

🌟Favorite Style to Teach/Dance:
SHE LOVES THEM ALL, but Miss Amy’s favorite style to teach is sharp, sassy jazz!💥

🌟Continuing Ed:
Dance Education Minor from UW Stevens Point, Certified Dance Educator, Master Dance Educator and Board Member of CNADM.

🌟Fun Fact:
When Miss Amy was 9, she had a tap duet with her cousin that placed first in tap at nationals in Springfield, IL!!!🏆

🌟When she’s not dancing...
You can find Miss Amy spending time with her grandchildren, in the garden, at the lake, on her bike, or reading a good book. 🌷📚🚲

🌟Miss Amy’s WHY:
“I teach dance because it fills my heart to help dancers understand how to move their body to achieve a new skill or learn to have fun and love to dance. The extra bonus is that I get to dance and have fun, too!”

This is such a wonderful community tradition, and we are so grateful to live, work, and dance right here in Greenville and the surrounding area.

Miss Arie has been dancing for the past 33 years and teaching for the past 22! She also serves as a board member and treasurer for the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters. 🌟
