Carolina Mixer is an entertainment magazine covering the Carolinas', as well as the people, places, and things outside our area that may be of interest to our visitors. Featuring music, food, and events, we cover stories for the people who like

to take advantage of all of the entertainment opportunities available right here in "God's Country" - The Carolinas! Our writers, photojournalists, and videographers canvas the Carolinas looking for entertainment opportunities to share with our readers, and provide a "heads up" on interesting upcoming events. Make http://www.CarolinaMixer.com your "go to" site to find out the best places to go, the best bands to see, the best recreational activities, and the best of everything else that make South Carolina, North Carolina, and our neighboring states special. Want to submit an article, photos, or videos to us for publication? Know of someplace, something, or someone that would make for a great story on CarolinaMixer.com? Have a favorite person, place, or thing that you think deserves some attention, and feeling a little creative? Submit it to us so that we can share your talents as a guest columnist! Are you a photographer or videographer, and have some photos or video that you would like to share? We'll make sure that you get credit for the work, and you can share your talents with our readers! Be sure to include a paragraph or more telling about the photos and video - where, when, what was cool about it, and where people can learn more about the topic. Send all submissions to us at [email protected]. Be sure to include your name, contact phone number, web link that you would like to include with your story, and a brief bio. For videos, please upload to youtube and send link, or send via dropbox if you want us to upload to our Youtube account (we will still give you full credit). Types of submissions we are looking for: Restaurants that don't get the attention they deserve, clubs/venues that do it right, festivals and fairs, community events, musical performances, plays, independent movie profiles, local author book reviews, local band CD reviews, cool nature spots or outdoor recreation spots, family fun places, and anything else that generates fun and entertainment in our area. Important Note: Carolina Mixer is all about the good things in our area, and is not a reviews site, so if it isn't nice to say, then please leave it out. We want to share what is going on that is fun in our area. We look forward to hearing from you!

The Dustbowl Revival joined us for a "Skunk Bus Session" at the Spring Albino Skunk Music Festival and performed Gillian Welch's "No One Knows My Name". Great band, lots of fun, and a cool song.

The mic is an "Edwina" from Ear Trumpet Labs.

South Carolina's own, Noah Guthrie, performed on Dancing with the Stars last night. Here's his performance, in case you missed it. Our spin on this is that he was performing, and happened to have been accompanied on stage by dancers Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas.

Watchtower Incident had 14 year old drummer, Drew Kelly, fill in with a last minute notice for a gig last week. While having never practiced with the band, or even playing some of the songs before, he held his own during two 45 minutes sets. Here's video of an improv jam of the band and Drew on ZZ Top's "T**h".

Drew's instructor, Kevin Heuer, prepared him well for the stage.
