Saturday’s Heritage Days festival for Greenville attracted new volunteers, new events, new vendors, and new people for the 19th year running. The event’s success is because of the community’s involvement

In case you missed it, we honored the 9 founding members of Heritage Days during the festival on Saturday. Thank you to all of them for making this something that has continued for 19 years; Sandy Beckman, Marie Julian, Fred Kiser, John Kokoski, Mary Ann Marshall, Carolyn McCright, Pat Roth, Pat Stearns, & JoAn Wentling. Thank you to those that came to present to them as well; Shannon Thomas on behalf of Senator Michele Brooks, Acting Borough Manager Amy Hollowell, Former Borough Manager Jasson Urey, Retired Greenville Police Chief & Heritage Day Committee Member Tom Strahler, Heritage Days Co-Chair Kaite Frederick, State Representative Parke Wentling, several current and former Borough employees, and former and current members of the Heritage Days Committee. We ALL thank the 9 of them from the bottom of our hearts!

As another Heritage Festival comes to a close, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this year's event such a success.

To our incredible committee members and volunteers—thank you for the countless hours of planning, setting up, working throughout the festival, cleaning up, and everything in between. Your hard work, dedication, and teamwork made this event possible, and I am so grateful for each and every one of you.

To our community and everyone who came out to support the festival, thank you for spending your time with us. Your enthusiasm, support, and kind words are what make this event so special year after year. We've heard so many wonderful comments, and seeing everyone come together to celebrate our community is what it's all about.

This festival truly wouldn't be possible without the support of so many people. Thank you for helping make this year's Heritage Festival one to remember. I look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
