Right Price

Step right up,
Get your ticket!
It’s a real s**t show;
Ya don’t wanna miss it!

Come on down,
The price is right!
You can win, win, win!
If the price is right.

All you need is the is ticket!
Ya know ya wanna see the show!
So get yours right now!
Get your ticket, it’s not a widget!

Climb on down,
Into the mix,
Got your ticket,
Now everything’s fixed!

Amen.

Yup.

And when my eyes go green, it’s time for me to step back.

They are normally hazel. But when I’m good and angry, they are green.

It is what it is.

She’ll never be the one to blend in, follow the crowd or be trendy.
She tried playing follow the leader and well, it just didn’t take.
She likes to live by her own rules, make her own way and do the things that bring her happiness and joy.
Her style isn’t definable because she dresses as she feels, and some days, she feels unstoppable..other times, she doesn’t want to get out of bed.
Whether she’s sporting stilettos because she’s in boss mode or she’s strapping on boots to wage war, she’s never going to be the one you fit into a singular definition or label.
She breaks every rule not to prove a point, but because she doesn’t care for limitations.
She’s had to scrap and fight for everything she has, none of it came easy…
And it still doesn’t.
But she fought her way through the flames that tried to destroy her and she grows stronger through each storm and wiser from every struggle.
Her style, her demeanor, even her smile is one of a kind- she makes a lasting impression when she walks in the room, both lighting it up with her audacious personality and making herself known with her bold statements..
Whether it’s from what she’s wearing, how she’s walking, perhaps even how she’s smiling,
She’s the one you won’t ever overlook or forget..
But once you lock gazes with the magnificent woman that she is..
There’s one thing about her that you’ll never forget:
The fiery look in her eyes.
One glance will tell you all you need to know about her..
She’s strong, she’s unique and she’ll always be unstoppable..
And she’ll make her presence known, state her mind clearly and do it all with a smile on her face.
The thing is, you’ll love her even more afterwards..
Everyone always does.

the devil you know

The devil leaned forward,
To whisper into her ear;
Hello, my beloved,
Imagine meeting you here!

He offered her things,
She never thought she’d obtain;
All you must do, he said,
Is keep saying my name.

Just do what I say,
You don’t need to think;
Surrender your will,
Enjoy this little kink.

I wish to look upon you,
In leather and lace;
I want to be inside you,
And see that look on your face.

We’re willing participants,
In an age-old dance;
I know you, my sweet one,
You’ll jump at this chance!

I know it’s a gambit,
I know we tempt fate;
But my love I admit,
It’s far too late.

Many years ago,
You said I was yours;
Despite aeons of absence,
That bond still endures.

The devil comes to me,
With fire in his eyes;
Despite the jacket and tie,
I see right through the disguise.

A beautiful demon,
I know and love well;
We will be in good company,
While we burn in hell.

The devil he tempted me,
He knows me so well;
I could not resist,
And I finally fell.

it’s not too late

You may try to run
from the truth,
But you’ll never be able to hide;
For the truth is,
what you carry with you;
Locked up,
deep inside,

You may have tried
to bury it,
To bind it,
and lock it away;
But no matter
how often you try to avoid it;
It resurfaces,
in most unexpected ways.

You may rediscover
it in pieces;
Snapshots,
of moments in time;
Sometimes the feelings,
they are so intense;
They are difficult,
and hard to define.

It’s not what you think,
It’s not an easy road;
That path,
you’ve chosen to take;
But you are rediscovering yourself,
Your own truth,
And that is a gift;
that will never abate.

Bringing calm to chaos.

This is a challenge coin.

If you’re active or former military…you know what these are.

You know what these mean; the veterans do for sure.

I met a man at Bonnaroo 2024, who was wearing a t shirt that said, “free dad hugs”.

I left camp and walked into the road and said, “hey man, I will take that free Dad hug since it’s Father’s Day. My Dad isn’t here so that would be awesome”.

Roo Dad gave me a huge hug and whispered, “I’m so proud of you for being here”.

I almost started crying then.

But I didn’t.

Because he had no idea how difficult it was for me to step into that moment.

I don’t like touching strangers, much less get a full body hug from one.

It’s an issue I’ve been working on for a long, long time.

Still working on it actually.

Roo 2025: I let him again.

Roo Dad, his name is Chris. And he has a lovely wife and kids.

He gave me this last year.

The night before I left.

We made sure to meet.

I bailed before the rain started again… and they shut the whole thing down.

I ran.

Why?

Many reasons.

Mostly: my intuition was screaming at me; G**O, RTFN!

Go!

Rent that uhaul.

Leave.

I didn’t need a uhaul.

I packed up my stuff, hauled it across Outeroo and I left.

The next day with the rain,any people got screwed.

By all reports, it was a cluster f^ getting out. And getting towed, was $200 plus, or so I read.

I’m not going to Roo this year.

Too bad about last year. It was my dream lineup. But God had my back and we all got full refunds.

Thank you Jesus.

Glad I put that away.

God has my back, EVEN when NO ONE ELSE believes.

I DO.

Believe or not.

It is irrelevant to me.

I try not to judge.

That’s above my pay grade.

To my Roo friends, I’ll miss ya this year.

Have fun. Be safe.

I have other plans.

God bless you all.

Thanks for reading.
