🎶✨ Now Hiring: Accompanist & Vocal Instructor at ECU! ✨🎭

East Carolina University—one of North Carolina’s largest public research institutions with nearly 27,000 students—is seeking a talented Accompanist & Vocal Instructor to join the dynamic School of Theatre and Dance.
Located in Greenville, NC, ECU’s nationally accredited program supports more than 250 students across a range of performing arts disciplines, all within a collaborative and creative environment.

💼 What You’ll Do:

Teach a 2:2 course load in areas such as musical theatre performance, audition techniques, musicianship, music theory, or theatre history
Provide accompaniment for ballet and modern dance classes
Offer private vocal coaching and serve as a music director as needed
Contribute to the artistic and educational mission of the school through service and collaboration

🎓 What We’re Looking For:

Master’s degree (MM or MFA) in Music or Musical Theatre (or equivalent professional experience)
Strong skills in improvisation, sight-reading, and diverse musical repertoire
Passion for mentoring student performers and supporting interdisciplinary arts training

⭐ Preferred: Experience in both classical and musical theatre settings, with a strong professional background

Contribute to our “Triple Track” curriculum (Ballet, Modern/Contemporary, Jazz)
Support student recruitment and program growth
Engage in creative work, including contributions to the ECU/Loessin Playhouse Season

🎓 What We’re Looking For:

MFA (or equivalent professional experience) in Dance
Experience training pre-professional or professional dancers
Ability to teach at least two core techniques (Ballet, Modern/Contemporary, Jazz)
A commitment to creativity, collaboration, and student success

💡 Additional expertise in areas like hip hop, musical theatre, or commercial dance is a plus!
