What a month it was! August came in fast and furious and left just the same.

We celebrated 20 years, showed 44 artists in our small works show (114 pieces were all hanging together!) and sold 234 individual pieces of art from small to large! A huge thank you to those of you that showed up, collected, liked or shared and a huge congrats to all of our amazing artists 💕💥✨Art & Light is here because of YOU!

Here Today, our September exhibition, pairs the contemplative ceramic sculptures of Cassie Butcher with the dynamic abstract landscape paintings of Jeremy Russell, both Asheville-based artists whose original studios were tragically demolished two years ago during Hurricane Helene. Following that loss, this collaborative showcase serves as a poignant visual reminder to pause, embrace small moments, and navigate life day to day. Through Butcher’s anonymous clay “souls” and Russell’s vivid capturing of fleeting light and water, the collection emphasizes the impermanence of time while celebrating shared human experience and quiet reflection.

Work is on view and available for purchase now through September 26th online and in person at the gallery. Join us Friday, September 4th from 6-9 for an artist reception right here in the gallery.

Months in the making…we are thrilled to have spent the morning with our clients out on Lake Keowee installing six custom commission works in their gorgeous home.

Working alongside our team and their interior designer, the clients selected an incredible collection: four stacked Diane Kilgore Condon works flanking the large doors, a fun Americana Brandt Berntson sign pointing to the boathouse, and a striking 72” Kate Hooray Osmond Spectral Sun to welcome guests inside after a day on the lake.
