Stitchy Prose was created out of a desire to meld two passions, writing and needlework, together.

Similar to how writers use prose to communicate ideas, thoughts, and experiences, I am choosing to use the language of needlework.

It’s been a while since I shared about myself on here. Since I have many new followers, I wanted to help put a face to my brand.

🌻 My name is Holly Freeman and I am the designer behind Stitchy Prose.
🌻 I’m 32 years young and live in the Upstate of South Carolina.
🌻 I’m going through some significant life changes at the present, but a constant is that I’m a mom to two beautiful kiddos: A daughter that is three and a son that is one. For their anonymity, I am not sharing their names on this space.
🌻 In my spare time I enjoy: doing bike and strength workouts on Peloton, traveling, reading (joined a book club this year), writing poetry and prose, cross stitching, playing video games on my Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch, and playing D&D.
🌻 I’m an Aquarius that loves sunflowers, labradorite, and Fleetwood Mac.
🌻My email went out last night to participating shops attending Nashville Needlework Market ‘26. Keep your eyes peeled on this space for more information about my new releases and if you see some patterns you cannot live without, don’t forget to submit a preorder with your ONS or LNS so they can reserve your copies!

At , I will be distributing three patterns for designers that are not exhibiting at the show. All are 60Wx60H and use the same gorgeous Night Garden Palette.

Make sure to ask your LNS or ONS to pick up copies of the charts (and my Night Owl pattern + Needle Minder) for you while they are shopping in our room at Market this weekend!
