Stitchy Prose was created out of a desire to meld two passions, writing and needlework, together.

Similar to how writers use prose to communicate ideas, thoughts, and experiences, I am choosing to use the language of needlework.

It’s been a while since I shared about myself on here. Since I have many new followers, I wanted to help put a face to my brand.

🌻 My name is Holly Freeman and I am the designer behind Stitchy Prose.
🌻 I’m 32 years young and live in the Upstate of South Carolina.
🌻 I’m going through some significant life changes at the present, but a constant is that I’m a mom to two beautiful kiddos: A daughter that is three and a son that is one. For their anonymity, I am not sharing their names on this space.
🌻 In my spare time I enjoy: doing bike and strength workouts on Peloton, traveling, reading (joined a book club this year), writing poetry and prose, cross stitching, playing video games on my Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch, and playing D&D.
🌻 I’m an Aquarius that loves sunflowers, labradorite, and Fleetwood Mac.
🌻My email went out last night to participating shops attending Nashville Needlework Market ‘26. Keep your eyes peeled on this space for more information about my new releases and if you see some patterns you cannot live without, don’t forget to submit a preorder with your ONS or LNS so they can reserve your copies!

𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐌𝐞 is both a mourning sampler & a true collaborative release with . Our models were stitched on two different fabrics (Aida vs. Linen) to showcase that the design could easily be stitched on both types of fabric.

𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐌𝐞 - 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟏 (𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐞) includes the border and Blocks 1, 2 and 3. (I also provide a download link within my chart for an alternative drum border if the stitcher only wants to stitch three blocks of the design & finish into a drum and not the entire piece).

𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐏𝐮𝐥𝐥 was inspired by a certain little person… my son! We love this little boy so deerly. 🦌💗 This bell pull is the perfect stitch for anyone welcoming new life or wanting to decorate a nursery (especially if it is woodland themed like ours).
