Hello All,
Well, here goes... As of the end of May, The Phils Pinball have no longer taken on any more repairs and we are no longer routing machines, and closing things down. If you would have asked me 2 years ago, I wouldn't have seen this coming. Life inevitably changes and so do we. To you reading this and all our customers, THANK YOU! That's not even close to enough. I don't have adequate words of how grateful I am for all of you. You all supporting us and having our backs during all this meant the world to us. So many helped us and taught us their tricks of the trade. I literally would not know what I know, nor be confident in what I know without so many kind techs that helped me along the way. I always had somebody I could call and ask questions.
And to John and Oli, without you both, I would have never survived. Thank you doesn't do it justice. I hope yall know how grateful we are.
This all really started in my dad's garage almost a decade ago. Phil Sr. and Phil Jr. staying up late and on the road for the next deal. I wouldn't trade those times for the world. But as time went on, Senior's body required him to participate less and less. We grew, we bought, we sold, we routed, we learned, we rented, we repaired, we intivated, we broke stuff, we shared knowledge whenever we could, and we laugh and cried some along the way. What a journey! And then I realized I said yes too much. Which has led me to say no A LOT lately. It's time for me to change things up, step back in some areas, and step up in others. And tearing a tendon in my arm gave me more perspective on what my body has been trying to tell me as well.
With all that said, we are still here, we're still "The Phils". I'm still gonna be in or around pinball in some way shape or form. I still love getting to teach and help at pinball shows with Marcos Specialties. You'll see me/us around for sure.
To the pinball community, South Carolina Pinball community, and the Carolina Arcade and Pinball group, meeting all of you is the best thing pinball and arcade games have given us. You are people we consider true friends and so many of you have shown up when we needed it most. We are forever grateful to know you all!
