FEMA Individual Assistance – Report Your Flood Damage
Did you experience damage from the recent flooding and severe weather event that occurred between August 11 and August 17, 2026?

Decatur County has been approved to receive Individual Assistance (IA) from FEMA. We are continuing to work through the process to determine what types of assistance may be available to those affected by this event.

This damage reporting process is for:
• Decatur County residents
• Property owners with property located in Decatur County
• Renters whose rental address is located in Decatur County

If you experienced damage, please help us document the impacts by completing the Decatur County Damage Information Form using the barcode below in the graphic, or the link provided at the end of this message.

When completing the form:
• Be as detailed and descriptive as possible about the damage you experienced.
• Upload photographs of the damage if you have them.
• Include all applicable information requested on the form.

Your information will help Decatur County document the overall impact of this event and support the ongoing disaster assistance process.

Please report your damage even if you are unsure whether you will qualify for assistance.

If you are NOT a Decatur County resident or property owner, contact your local EMA Office to inquire about the process for your County (if your County was included in the Federal/State Declaration). The process will likely be different in other Counties.

Thank you for helping us document the impacts of this flooding event and connect affected residents and property owners with available resources.
