Pitt-Greensburg Chorale

Pitt-Greensburg Chorale The Pitt-Greensburg Chorale and Chamber Singers are the choral ensembles of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg.

The Visual and Performing Arts Major at Pitt-Greensburg offers a unique curriculum that allows students to study three fundamental artistic disciplines - Music, Theatre, and History of Art & Architecture - and the connections among them. Within the music discipline there are two choral ensembles that are represented. You do not have to be a VAPA major to participate in these ensembles.

This Thursday and Friday we celebrate 25 years of Pitt-Greensburg Chorale at our spring concerts! 🎶 Come see the chorale perform some of their favorites over the last 25 years, including pieces like Applause by Lady Gaga and Tango de Roxanne from Moulin Rouge!

Concerts are free and open to the public at Campana Chapel. We hope to see you there!

Our piano is so old those cobwebs aren’t fake!! 🕸️
Our social days are wonderful, almost as much as the music this chorale makes! 🎶 Which is why we need your help.

This Pitt Day of Giving, and as part of our recognition of 25 Chorale years, we wish to be able to acquire a new upright rehearsal piano, to live on the floor of Campana Chapel. We use this piano every day in rehearsal, and it is also used for voice and piano lessons. It’s ready for its successor! We estimate that this will cost about $12,000.

We would be so grateful for your help to purchase this new rehearsal piano with a donation, so that we can leave a new instrument for future UPG musicians.

Need new ornaments for your tree…? 🎄We got them! Our chorale glued and painted wooden piano parts to look like snowmen ⛄️ and created piano key ornaments as well! 🎹 Perfect gift for music lovers, friends, and family!

We will be selling them at our La Vie Boheme! concerts, performing Thursday, November 20th and Friday, November 21st at 7:30pm, located at the Campana Chapel.

Our first singer is Hunter! Hunter is a senior majoring in Biology 🧪, with minors in Psychology and Chemistry! 👨‍🔬 “You are doing your best and I am proud of you :)” 🫶🏻

Our second singer is Conor! Conor is a freshman majoring in Finance, with a minor in applied mathematics! 🧮 In his free time, Conor builds computers! 🖥️

Our first singer is Giana! Giana is a junior majoring in communications 🗣️ She is cheer captain in our UPG cheerleading, and is also a member of Habitat for Humanity! 🌎

Our second singer is Vae! Vae is a freshman majoring in Pre Emergency Medicine 👩‍⚕️Their fun fact is that they played clarinet for 6 years! 🎼

Our first singer is Kevin! Kevin is a freshman majoring in Management Accounting 🧾 He likes to play video games and play/watch sports ⛹️‍♂️

Our next singer is Marley! Marley is a returning member of our chorale, and we’re glad to have them back! Marley is a Junior graduating this semester, with a major in Psychology and minor in Criminal Justice 🚓 She likes to make her own nails, as well as ones for others! 💅
