Having trouble deciding how you can help? Financial support is a great way to do that. DONATE. There’s a comprehensive list (updated regularly) of bail out funds and other orgs across the US. I have 8 mugs in my Etsy shop. If you donate what you would have spent on a mug (~$35 for most of you), I’ll send you it to you anyway. There’s a link in my insta bio- find an organization in your city or state. Some of the more shared organizations have said they have received enough and to pass it along. I’ve felt a 100 different ways in the past couple of weeks (as I’m sure we all have). One I keep coming back to is how silly it feels it a time of so much fear, grief, and uncertainty to be posting about mugs. I read something once that talked about why we send flowers to people who grieve. That it’s not because it’s practical- flowers don’t offer financial or physical support- but that it’s beauty and solace in a time where there seems to be none. So, as utterly strange as all of this is, I’m going to keep looking for the beautiful things. I don’t think I’ve ever appreciated what artists do as much as I have during the past few weeks.
