Guilford ROCKS is a public group, intended to spread art and kindness in our community. We are painting rocks to hide around the Guilford County/Greensboro area to bring happiness to peoples' day. Finders, make sure you post a picture of the rock you find to this page. If a rock you find just seems like it was meant just for you, you are welcome to keep and enjoy forever! Want to in join the fun?

All you need is some acrylic paint, a clear sealant [Rustoleum], and rocks of course. Once you paint a rock to hide, on the back of the rock write "Post pic to Guilford Rocks page. Keep or rehide." Then hide! Please remember to be courteous and respectful while hunting and/or hiding the rocks. Don't follow others around while they are hiding. Also remember this is a community activity that everyone should be able to enjoy, so don't take all the rocks you find; leave some for others. Do NOT hide inside stores! There are plenty of OUTDOOR places to hide your rocks; beside trees, in flower beds, or under a slide at the park. Just remember when you hide rocks in flower beds please be thoughtful and make sure you are not disturbing the flowers businesses have put out. If you are a preschool or kindergarten teacher think about painting rocks as a class project. Then go on a field trip to hide them. What a wonderful experience sharing their art and kindness with others. So, get busy painting, hiding, and/or finding these beauties!
