Join us for a special reception celebrating the artistry and craftsmanship of the Guild of Vermont Furniture Makers. Meet the makers, explore beautifully handcrafted works, and experience the rich tradition of fine Vermont furniture making.

The Guild of Vermont Furniture Makers was formed in 1997, by a group of independent furniture makers with workshops located throughout the state. They are a juried organization of professional level furniture makers, working in a wide range of styles, from traditional to modern, with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship and proper methods of design and construction, so that each piece lasts for generations.

An Artist Responds To War | Sunday, May 3 | 1PM
Bread & Puppet World Film Premiere

Join filmmaker Robbie Leppzer for the World Premiere screening of AN ARTIST RESPONDS TO WAR, a vibrant portrait of Peter Schumann, the visionary founder of the Bread and Puppet Theater, whose six decades of radical political performance have been forged from a single, searing childhood question: how do we as humans respond to the madness of war and violence?

Born in N**i Germany and shaped by the brutal reality of war via the aerial bombardments he experienced as a child, Schumann channeled this trauma into one of the most iconic and boundary- breaking theater companies in the world. Bread & Puppet came of age in the Vietnam War street protests of 1960s New York, and grew into its full form on a 250-acre Vermont farm in the 1970s, where the landscape itself became a stage that draws tens of thousands to its epic, large-scale spectacles.

NECCA - New England Center for Circus Arts presents the annual Circus Springboard show, featuring America’s next generation of circus artists. Circus Springboard tours New England theaters connecting rural audiences to inspiring aerialists and acrobats through the powerful storytelling of theatrical circus. The performers are soon-to-be graduates of NECCA’s 3-year professional training program and this show is the culmination of their study and development as performers and artists.
