If you are a Neighborhood Association or unincorporated group of residents with a 501 (c)(3) fiscal sponsor, you could have new, original community art in your neighborhood!

Creative Greensboro is currently accepting applications for its 2026 Neighborhood Arts program, which will award three Greensboro neighborhoods with $20,000 each to create new, original outdoor community art that reflects their community's identity, history, and vision. Selected Neighborhood Associations will organize a community stakeholder group, identify a site for the artwork, select an artist through an open call, collaborate with the artist to develop a community-informed design, and host a public celebration upon completion.

Auditions for "The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales" are just a week away! Actors ages 7-15 will be asked to read from the script, sing, and participate in theatre and improv games. Performances will take place October 22-25. Get more info and sign up for an audition at CreativeGreensboro.com.

“The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales” takes on classic storybook fables and uproariously derails them in this adaptation of Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith’s children’s book. Everything from Chicken Little to The Gingerbread Man gets a complete makeover. Fun music and witty narration accompany the likes of ineloquent and inelegant giants, sassy barnyard animals, colossal cow pies, and enough stinky cheese to go around!

Upcoming class dates include August 29 and September 17 at the Greensboro Cultural Center in Room 317.
