RON "THE TOUR GOD" BYRD
With over 40 years, 6,000 shows and an artist roster of the Who’s who of the music business, Ron Byrd has the rightfully earned the monicker “THE TOUR GOD”. To think that his first tour was PRINCE’s first tour (DIRTY MIND) in 1979 and he is still working with the best and brightest as of the writing of this, 42 years later speaks for itself. His unparalleled resume, experience and sheer consistency put Ron in rarified air as well as in a unique position to share his experiences and vast collection to create a tangible, eternal piece of history that currently does not exist. Over the 40 years plus as a tour and production manager, Ron was able to keep most of his memorabilia and tour related items related to a wide range of different components that constitute the ex*****on of tours. These priceless pieces of history are the foundation of a time we will never get back as well a continued glimpse into the future.
OUR MISSION
- To create a platform as a way to give back to the live touring community and fans. To give just due to the unsung heroes that make the concert HAPPEN.
- To create new ways for live touring personnel to benefit from their experience and expertise on the road.
- Our ultimate goal is to build a permanent interactive museum for live concert touring from the perspective of those who create and execute the tours. The life blood of the touring industry.
