Artist, Hilary North is all Sea Turtle'd up and nowhere to go. Due to The Merry Merfolk event being canceled as part of the Greenport Maritime Festival because of bad weather, Hilary's costume creation didn't get the chance to debut on Main Street or Mitchell Park. Can the Turtle tread water until September 2024?

Out of an abundance of caution, it has been decided by The East End Seaport Museum in consultation with Southold Town Police Department and Greenport Village Officials, that the Land and Sea Gala on Friday will go on as scheduled, however all activities planned for the Festival on Saturday the 23rd and Sunday the 24th must be canceled due to the potential Tropical Cyclone 16. It is a great disappointment to all who have planned this event for the past year. We look forward to next year's event scheduled for September 21 & 22 2024.

It's time to start preparing your costumes for the Merry Merfolk Parade. All Sea Creatures are welcome along with Seafaring Humans. Mermaids, Octopus, and Sharks join Sailors, Fishermen,
and Pirates in costume to march down Main Street toward Greenport Harbor to win their prize. FREE, must register to participate on the link below:
