Step into the world of medieval-inspired combat with instructor William Hesslink! Youth Martial Club combines creativity, craftsmanship, and active play as participants create their own boffers, shields, and armor, then put their creations to the test in supervised live sparring. Inspired by the traditions of the Society for Creative Anachronism, this program encourages teamwork, strategy, sportsmanship, and hands-on creativity in a fun and active environment.

🌲🚴‍♀️🛶 Heads Up, Highland Park & Greenfield! 🏃‍♂️🗺️

There’s going to be some extra adventure happening around town tomorrow! The Blue Hills Adventure Race is coming to the Connecticut River Valley, with Highland Park and other locations throughout the region serving as part of the course.

This one-day adventure race will bring competitors through the area as they take on a 15-hour challenge featuring mountain biking, foot travel, paddling, and map-and-compass navigation.

If you’re out enjoying Highland Park, the trails, or other outdoor spaces in the area, you may see racers moving through the park and surrounding region. 🚲🥾🛶

We’re excited to welcome this unique event to our community and wanted to give everyone a heads-up that there will be lots of activity happening throughout the area!

Come enjoy the energy, give the racers a wave, and have fun exploring our beautiful region! 🌳🙌

Great news, Greenfield! 🎉 We're excited to announce that Friends of Greenfield Recreation is one of ten winners of the 2026 Kubota Hometown Proud grant program! In partnership with M.B. Tractor & Equipment, we'll receive a $25K cash grant and $25K in Kubota equipment to expand our recreational facilities and programs. This support will help us continue making a difference right here in our hometown.
