The Greenfield Local Cultural Council is accepting grant proposals for arts and culture projects that enrich the public life of Greenfield and its residents. All submissions are due by Thursday, October 15, 2026.
Greenfield received an allocation of $20,800 for this year’s funding round. The grant portal opened on September 1, 2026. To apply, visit: https://massculturalcouncil.smartsimple.com/s_Login.jsp
Priority will be given to projects that take place in the city of Greenfield. Projects that take place in a neighboring community (i.e., Bernardston, Colrain, Deerfield, Gill, Leyden, Montague, Shelburne) may subsequently be considered on a case-by-case basis. Based on the results of the 2026 Community Survey, the following types of projects are strongly encouraged: live music and concerts, public art, theater and performing arts, and social justice and cultural diversity events. The results of the GLCC’s survey - conducted this past summer - can be found at bit.ly/greenfieldlcc
Recent projects and events that received GLCC funding include Franklin County Pride, Greenfield Crankie Fest, Looky Here Magazine, and the Great Greenfield Dino Fest.
The GLCC is part of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils serving all 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth. The LCC Program is the nation's largest grassroots cultural funding network, supporting thousands of community-based arts, sciences and humanities projects every year. The state legislature provides an annual appropriation to the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency that allocates funds to each community.
