Born and raised in beautiful southeast Pennsylvania and although i've travelled throughout North America, PA's natural beauty continues to inspire me and inform my artistic expression. I am a mixed media artist, currently combining my love of nature with the alternative photographic process called Cyanotype. It combines two types of naturally occurring chemicals with UV light from the sun to produce beautiful blue toned images of whatever object is placed atop the medium. My lifelong passions for art and nature drive my desire to share these creations with you. I hope you feel a sense of peace and contentment (maybe even joy!) from the the deep blues and other natural tones within each of my images. Thanks for visiting! 🎨 Meet Adam Crist – one of the featured artists at our upcoming Brunch with the Artists on September 6.

Adam Crist is a Lehigh Valley-based artist who rediscovered his creative voice in 2022 after a 20-year career in the corporate world. Working primarily in cyanotype, his art explores themes of healing, nature, and sacred geometry, often combining alternative photography with ink, pastels, and watercolor. A member of the Lehigh Art Alliance, Adam has exhibited regionally and was recently featured in Art and Color 365 magazine.

The final version of my dogwood flower print. 18x18.
The second photo is the original finished print but it was too “blah” and I really wanted it to feel like I was looking at the flowers on a sunny day. I love the background on the final version for that reason. It’s got texture and layers and while I’m not really a fan of pink, I think the flowers stand out against the background better than in the darker version.

I hope to get this scanned and have prints made for sale at events later this year.
