The Missoula Children's Theatre directors and kids are great with making sure the show must go on. Our week looks a little different this time around at Thrasher due to renovations. We have been using some space from Caestecker Public Library to host workshops lead by Sandra & Ward from MCT, and having the "Silkworms" practice for the show. Wednesday presented us with another interesting situation...NO POWER at Thrasher from 11am-7pm, the rehearsals went on in the space, with slightly less light but everybody did great. Live theater doesn't always go perfect, and you have to adjust. Just one of the many great traits MCT kids learn during the week. Come see the show on Saturday, June 20th at 3:00 p.m. or 5:30 p.m., you'll be glad you did.

Along the way, you'll hear stories from Thrasher's past, learn about the role we play in keeping the arts accessible in rural Wisconsin, and get the latest updates on our exciting renovation project.

Whether you're a longtime supporter, a history buff, or visiting for the first time, we'd love to show you around and share what makes Thrasher such a special place.

Shoutout to Thrasher Opera House Alumni The Barefoot Movement for winning the Metallica non-traditional fan cover competition. They performed an acoustic version of the song Fuel. We will continue to work on booking Metallica and The Barefoot Movement together here at Thrasher! 🤣

It is Missoula Children's Theatre week here at Thrasher Opera House. Auditions for The Emperor's New Clothes will be held this afternoon at 4:00 p.m. at Thrasher Opera House, a rehearsal schedule for the remainder of the week will be shared too. Also, please be aware that the Mill St. bridge is closed as of today. Follow the detour signs and you should be fine, or give us a call we can navigate you here. 🎭 AUDITIONS: Missoula Children’s Theatre’s "The Emperor’s New Clothes"! 🎭

Looking for a fun summer experience? Students entering 1st–12th GRADE of all experience levels are invited to audition for this week-long theater program. It is completely FREE to participate!

IMPORTANT AUDITION DETAILS

WHEN: Monday, June 15, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Plan to stay the full 2 hours)

WHERE: Thrasher Opera House, Green Lake

PREPARATION: None needed! Just show up ready to have fun.

Note: 50–60 roles are available, so some students may not be cast. The cast list and full week's schedule will be announced at 6:00 PM on Monday.

REHEARSAL & SCHEDULE INFO

COMMITMENT: Monday, June 15 – Saturday, June 20. Students must be available for the entire week and attend all rehearsals required for their role.

MONDAY NIGHT: The first rehearsal for select roles starts immediately on Monday at 6:30 PM.

WEEKDAY REHEARSALS: Due to construction, rehearsals will split between THRASHER OPERA HOUSE and CAESTECKER PUBLIC LIBRARY (Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–3:15 PM & 3:15 PM–5:15 PM).

FOOD: Students scheduled for the full 4.5-hour rehearsal blocks should pack a sack supper or snack.

SHOWTIMES
Performances will take place at Thrasher Opera House on SATURDAY, JUNE 20 at 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM. All cast members must be available for BOTH shows.
