We’ve had two sold-out shows over the last few weeks, and some of our artists got a pretty sweet surprise! 🍪

Steely Dane on September 25 and Tristan Crist Magic Theatre on October 8 both filled the house, and we love seeing our community show up to support live performance right here in Green Lake.

A big thank-you to Ripon Dough Co for surprising our artists with fresh-baked SOLD OUT cookies to celebrate. Such a thoughtful gesture and a fun way to mark a full house!

It takes a community to keep the arts thriving, and we’re lucky to have patrons who fill the seats, artists who share their talents, and local businesses that help make it all special.

Get ready for this Saturday night. If you are attending we will feature a Midwest-Style Rocky Horror Callbacks Guide as you join us. We love a little audience participation, but we also want to take good care of our historic venue. Please leave the following items at home: Water guns, Glitter, Confetti, Prunes, Hot dogs/bologna. We cannot wait to see you. Still need a ticket, you can visit our website ahead of time, or get them at the door!

We had the honor of hosting George Winston nine times here at Thrasher. Seven of those times were during the Winter. Hugo from Valley Entertainment and Dancing Cat Records wrote to us recently and said "He performed at the Thrasher Opera House 9 times across 7 different years, from 2002 to 2018. He had his pick of far larger stages, and he kept choosing yours." The stories of George arriving and locking himself in the room, and rehearsing all through the night are memories this room will revere. The folks who look after the music of George have recently shared a recording of George Winston's The Winter Show: Live Solo Piano Concert that is available to purchase or listen to on his website. We are incredibly grateful for the time spent together and miss him dearly.
