For the past 11 months, I’ve been working full time and studying every night and weekend for an 8-hour, 80-question exam on water and environmental engineering — the hardest thing I’ve ever prepared for.

I stepped away from tattooing, from drawing, and from seeing friends and family. I don’t usually feel proud of myself, but this year took everything out of me… and today I get to say I passed.

I PASSED MY EXAM AND GOT MY LETTERS

I’m not fully back yet, but I’ll be poking my head out of the engineering cave a little more now.

Hello everybody,

For those of you that may not know I’m a full time civil engineer, but I’ve always made sure to have a creative outlet. A curiosity about tattooing turned into an apprenticeship and a love for the art. And while I love it, it has become apparent that I’ve been burning this candle at both ends for some time, and I’m exhausted. With that being said I’ll be taking some time for myself for a bit and in time will be returning to tattoo.

I want to thank all my clients who have given their trust in me, and especially all the artists and piercers at Rorschach Gallery and Black Moon Piercing. Thank you for agreeing to mentor me and taking a chance on me. The hardest part of taking a step back is not being able to see them everyday. I couldn’t have gotten this far without their help and support.

I’ll continue to be posting art, going back to some of my old hobbies that I haven’t had much time for recently.

It’s not a goodbye it’s a see you later ❤️
