Hi everyone—this is her mom posting.
I usually keep this page focused on her art, but I wanted to share a little of what’s been going on behind the scenes. This is authentically me being vulnerable and humbly asking for help. That's what Macey's messages are all about so even though I am embarrassed, I am hoping this community can great this post with compassion.
Earlier this year, I had surgery that ended up putting me out of work much longer than expected. We pushed through that time without asking for help, while continuing to support her creativity and keep things moving.
Now I’m facing another surgery that can’t be delayed, and I’ll be out of work again for a few months with no income because my job doesn't have enough employees to require short term disability. I've sincerely been doing all I can like working overtime every week despite the pain but, its not going to be enough this time.
I recently shared that sticker sales mean a lot to our family right now, and that’s why.
