Craft with Cocktails

Make it with Merlot was created from an idea that stemmed from my love of crafting and the paint & sip classes that are held at bars. I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be fun to expand the idea and do all different types of classes? We will still offer that fun night out doing something different where you can have a drink with your friends or make new friends, like the painting classes, but we will offer a huge variety of classes. Now, here we are in our second year and we’ve done lots of projects, had lots of fun, and I’ve met some amazing people who have made this the most fun “job” I could imagine!

I wanted my business, Make it with Merlot, to accomplish 3 main things -

First, I wanted to do something that would keep being fun, because we are constantly doing different projects. I love everything crafty, so we paint, we plant, make jewelry, create seasonal decor, teach new skills like crochet and macrame and much more!

Secondly, I wanted people to take home something they are proud of! Yes, these classes are perfect for the crafty and uncrafty, alike. I love the wine and painting classes, but let’s be honest - most people (myself included) are no Picassos. I’ve had a blast going, but what the heck am I going to do with my painting after? They’ve made some nice White Elephant Gifts, that’s what. In Make it with Merlot classes we do a lot of stenciling and tracing and distressed/rustic style projects. This way, we’re perfect for people of all skill levels.
