Lighthouse Productions is looking for a Full Time Lighting Technician to join our team! You will help us execute shows starting from project management all the way to the operation and teardown of a show. There will be opportunities to work on both small intimate shows and large-scale shows.
As a Lighting Technician your responsibilities/duties will include:
Help maintain and service our lighting gear.
Work with our team in the shop to prep and de-prep gear for shows. This includes loading gear on and off trucks.
Help with the logistics of routing our lighting gear from show to show.
Assist with drawing floorplans and systems for lighting, audio, video and staging using Vectorworks.
Interact with clients both on and off show site and provide outstanding customer service.
Set up and tear down lighting rigs at show sites using plots and floorplans. (Show sites can be indoors and outdoors in various weather)
Program shows using various consoles.
Manage groups of individuals on show sites to help with the load in and out process.
Drive company vehicles to and from show sites.
Assist other departments as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible, motivated, detail oriented
and have a positive, friendly attitude. The ability to work both independently, and as a part of the
team is imperative. Strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to multitask
are a necessity for this position. This job does require some amount of travel. It also requires a fair amount of physical work such as standing,walking and lifting.
