Meet the cast of "The Fall of Man"! 🐍🍎

Kayla Kinney (Soprano):

Kayla is delighted to join the cast of The Fall of Man for this unique, one-act opera! Kayla received her Bachelor of Arts in vocal performance from the University of Northern Colorado in 2012 and has been singing in the Greeley area for more than 20 years. You may have recently seen her in the role of Sister Robert Anne this March in the Greeley Stampede Troupe’s production of Nunsense. Other notable past roles include Ensign Nellie Forbush (South Pacific), Baroness von Schrader (The Sound of Music), Mary Bailey (It’s a Wonderful Life), and Lady Eugenia (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder).

Join us for the Colorado premiere of “The Fall of Man”, a one-act opera by retired local music professor, Jerry Davidson. The plot retells the biblical story of Adam, Eve, and Satan.

Madeline Eisele (Flutist):

Madeline Eisele is a FRCC student, majoring in Music Composition. She has been playing flute for 9 years, and composing for a year and a half. She is set to graduate this semester with an Associates degree. She works as a swim instructor in Littleton in her spare time.

Meet the cast of "The Fall of Man"! 🐍🍎

Luke North (Bass):

Luke North relocated to Colorado in 2014 after graduating from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelors in Voice. Since then, he has sung with Opera Colorado, Boulder Opera, Opera on Tap, Loveland Opera, Central City Opera, Opera Steamboat, Arapahoe Philharmonic and Aspen Music Festival. In addition to his role as the bass quartet member in “The Fall of Man” with Opera Élan, Luke will be singing the role of the Registrar in “Madama Butterfly” with Opera Colorado in May.

Meet the cast of "The Fall of Man"! 🐍🍎

Zane Hodges (Tenor):

Zane Hodges is currently a student at Front Range Community College and studying for a Bachelor of Music degree. A trombonist and drummer for 10 years, his ultimate life goal is to one day join a band and tour around the world playing music that people enjoy. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and hopes to have the opportunity to compose music for a game developer in the future.

Meet the cast of "The Fall of Man"! 🐍🍎

William Mouat (Satan):

Dr. William Mouat is a prolific performer and educator currently teaching at Flourish Music Academy in Greeley. Recent projects include King Melchior in Amahl and the Night Visitors with this company, Il Talpa in Il Tabarro and Simone in Gianni Schicchi with Boulder Opera Company, and Jake Sands and the Denver Politician in The Ballad of Baby Doe and Wolfgang Big Bad in The Three Little Pigs with Loveland Opera Theatre. Mouat was the director of education at New Orleans Opera from 2017 to 2021. He has performed in various companies in the United States and abroad, including Seattle, Rimrock, Abilene, Columbus, Tacoma, Des Moines, and others. In addition to this opera, Mouat will be playing Sir Richard Cholmondeley in Yeoman of the Guard with the Empire Lyric Players this summer.

Meet the composer of "The Fall of Man"! 🐍🍎

Jerry F. Davidson

Prior to retiring in 2024 Davidson’s positions have included the Chair of the Music Department of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Associate Dean of the School of Music of Louisiana State University, and Visiting Professor of Music at Loyola U. of New Orleans. A frequent contributor to music journals, workshop leader, and an award-winning composer, he holds the Ph.D. from Northwestern University, a Master of Sacred Music (cum laude) from Union Theological Seminary in New York, and a bachelor’s degree (with High Honors) from the University of Arkansas. He holds the AAGO and ChM degrees from the American Guild of Organists and served as Director of the national Committee on Continuing Education. In 1996 he was one of seven semifinalists for the National Competition in Organ Improvisation.

Meet the cast of "The Fall of Man"! 🐍🍎

Ben Tipton (Adam):

Ben Tipton is a tenor from Dayton, Ohio, most known for his interpretation of Rinuccio in “Gianni Schicchi”. Other roles include the Defendant in “Trial by Jury”, Walter in “Frau Margot”, and Alec and Ombrellieri in the collegiate premiere of Stewart Copeland’s “The Invention of Morel”. Tipton studied under the tutelage of Dr. Debra Lynn at Manchester University and most recently sang as a shepherd in Amahl and the Night Visitors with Opera Today! He looks forward to making his Colorado debut with this production.

Meet the cast of "The Fall of Man"! 🐍🍎

Jennifer Wagner (Eve):

Jennifer Wagner is an avid performer and educator currently based in Greeley, CO. Originally from Pennsylvania, she graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with her MM in vocal performance in 2024 and from Manchester University with her BA in vocal performance and biology-chemistry in 2022. Favorite roles include Lady Valerie in “Cabildo”, Lauretta in “Gianni Schicchi”, Mother in “Amahl and the Night Visitors”, and Queen Aggravain in “Once Upon a Mattress”. In addition to performing, Wagner is an Instructor of Music at Front Range Community College in Fort Collins, CO and runs her own private studio.
