It is with heavy hearts that we remember Amy Jo Fields, Miss Rodeo Colorado 2007.
Amy Jo was much more than a title and a crown. She was a daughter, a mother, a friend, a horsewoman, and a woman whose kindness, genuine spirit, and love for others touched countless lives.
During her year as Miss Rodeo Colorado, Amy Jo shared her love of horses, rodeo, and the western way of life with young women and communities across Colorado. Like so many of our titleholders, she had a way of connecting with people—leaving an impression and touching hearts in ways she may never have fully realized.
And those who remember the 2007 Fashion Show will surely smile thinking of Amy Jo as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. It was a glimpse of the fun, warmth, and personality that made her so special.
Her legacy isn't measured simply by the year she wore the Miss Rodeo Colorado crown. It lives on in the people she encouraged, the young women she inspired, the friendships she formed, and the memories she gave so generously to those around her.
Our deepest condolences go to Amy Jo's son, her parents, her family and friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
