Tech Tip Tuesday

Short and sweet this week. There is a 5mph speed on the drag strip property. The return road has a 15mph speed limit. The pits, staging lane area, parking areas and the whole spectator side all have a 5mph speed limit.

The drag strip itself does not have a speed limit BUT there may be limitations based on your vehicle, safety equipment and licensing.

TECH TIP TUESDAY? NAH… IT’S TWO WHEELS WEDNESDAY!

Why the change? Because THIS SUNDAY is the final Bikes & Sleds race of the 2026 season!

If you’ve been thinking about bringing the bike out one more time this year, this is your sign.

Here’s a quick cheat sheet of what you need to make a pass on NJ’s ONLY drag strip! For the complete motorcycle racing rules, always check the official 2026 NHRA Rulebook at nhraracer.com.

Make sure you’re following the Northeast Drag Bike page for more motorcycle racing info, updates and everything happening this weekend.

But wait… the payout just got BIGGER.

A new sponsor stepped up and added $200 to the guaranteed payout! That means we’re now at $550 GUARANTEED PLUS BIKE COUNT!

That’s not all. We’ve got money on the table for the Lowest ET Qualifier, Best Reaction Time Qualifier and other payouts throughout the day.

There’s something special for the Harley guys too. $500? Northeast Drag Bike knows more.

The race winner is taking home a set of Dunlop Dragmax tires!

There’s also a SECOND set being given away raffle style. Every bike/sled racer gets a FREE raffle ticket with their tech card. Stop by the Northeast Drag Bike booth to get yours. Want more chances? Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase.

We’re also throwing down $100 to the racer with the highest MPH for both No-Bar Suzuki AND No-Bar Kawasaki!

Because this is the final Bikes & Sleds race of 2026, we’ve got THREE special commemorative edition custom trophies being handed out.

You’ve got FOUR DAYS to clear the schedule.

Four days to get the bike ready.
Four days to call your buddies.
Four days to get to Island.

Sunday is the last Bikes & Sleds race of the 2026 season, and this is one you absolutely do NOT want to miss.

Bring the bike. Bring the crew. Bring the competition.

Let’s put some two-wheel horsepower down at Island one more time in 2026! 🏍️💨🏁
